Fred “John” Chamberlain, age 50, of Mancelona, formerly of Mason, passed away on July 28, 2012. He was born on December 17, 1961 in Farwell to Joseph W. and Marietta (Garchow) Chamberlain.

John married the former Christine Lehmann in St. Johns on June 2, 1989. They moved to Mancelona in 2004. He was an ASE Certified Master Auto Technician and the owner of Twin Lakes Auto Repair. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycling, and snowmobiling. John loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him.

John is survived by his wife of 23 years, Chris; his children, Kati Chamberlain of Haslett, Sylvia Chamberlain of Haslett, Maria Jo Chamberlain of Haslett, and Johnny (Grace) Chamberlain of Mason; his 4 grandchildren, Aylah Chamberlain of Haslett, Gabby Cisneros-Spinner of Mason, Ryder Cisneros of Mason, and Pauly Chamberlain of Bellaire; his parents, Joe and Marietta Chamberlain of St. Johns; and his siblings, Candy Chamberlain of Arcadia, Mike (Kelly) Chamberlain of Bath, Mark (Tanya) Chamberlain of Flushing, and Steven (Ruth) Chamberlain of Laingsburg.

John was preceded in death by his grandparents, Delphina and Rovelle Clark, Fred and Esther Garchow; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sally and James Lehmann.

A memorial service will be held for John on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the family home.
