Mary V. Strohmier-Johnson, 51, of Traverse City, passed away on July 22, 2012 at her home. She was born on December 5, 1960 in Bellaire, the daughter of Charles and Nora (Crandall) Strohmier.

Mary graduated from Kalkaska High School in 1977. She was a computer whiz and very artistic. Mary enjoyed her cat and birds. A very private person, Mary was strong willed and very quick with a smile and joke. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving Mary is her mother, Nora of Kalkaska; her siblings, Patricia (Jim) VanAmburg of Port Charlotte, Florida, Beverly (Jim) Stoddard of Roscommon, Alisia (Stacey) Licking of Port Charlotte, Florida, Rosa (Gerald) Brown of Orleans, Charlene (Carl) Thompson of Shelby and Jeanne (Robert) Alberts of Kalkaska; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Charles; and her brother, Charles LeRoy Strohmier, II.
